The woodwork in the Lookout is complete, our carpet fitters are booked for this Friday and our upholsterer has been in to do the final measurements for the cushions and thickness of foam!
The space is looking amazing, a few final fittings & fixtures and the Lookout will be back in use by our staff and groups on a daily basis.
Work has started on prepping the Upper Saloon roof for painting. As you can see by the pictures above, it’s a lengthy process of grinding off the rust that forms on the metal sheets almost instantly after being fitted, before prepping and painting the surface – and repeating for the rest of the roof!
This week another 4 tonnes of chain has been moved into the forepeak of Trinity. In the right picture you can see that Frank Hall & Son have built a bulkhead to store all of the chain within the forepeak.
Frank Hall & Son’s welders have now moved on to enclosing the sides of the light tower, in preparation for the glazing in later phases.
