Following the new anchor plate being welded onto the starboard side of the ship earlier in the month, Frank Halls & Son set to work transporting 50 metres of chain down to the Lightvessel to lay on the marsh and fix to the anchor. The anchor is holding Trinity steady and she’s sitting better in her berth following the extra windage added by phase 2.
Our extended and refurbished lookout is now in use! The AV equipment is installed and working including a HD TV, Blu ray player and lots of other gadgets.
This is our main space for daily morning meetings as a team and with our visiting teachers and group leaders, so it’s great to have more space to fit us all in. We’re already reaping the benefits of this part of the project and can’t wait to fully utilise it!
The big reveal for this phase… earlier this week the boards came down to reveal the new profile of the ship – it looks great!
Eventually it will be painted cream to match the lookout, the windows are on order and will be fitted soon.
