The galley hatch has finally been removed from the deck to make way for the flooring in the Upper Saloon to go down. Air conditioning will be installed shortly so to provide additional ventilation for the galley.
With phase 2 nearing completion, plans are well underway for phase 3.
Phase 3 involves a helical staircase under the light tower linking the decks together. Our architect Neil Jennings is checking plans for the staircase.
The glazers have been back onboard this week to make templates of each of the 16 individual double glazed panels that will enclose the newly refurbished light tower.
The custom made glazing should be fitted in early October
After completion of the light tower renovations, before the glazing is installed, the Upper Saloon is ready to get a shiny top coat of fresh red paint!
As the roof is slightly curved, the new bright red roof – matching the light tower, it’s visible from the path and we think she looks great!
The scaffolding that has been up for the last couple of months has finally been removed to reveal a refurbished light tower.
Next the internal work will be done before the glazing is fitted in October
